Utah Minute Men

The Utah Minutemen

For decades now, I have sensed that the key to harvesting the potential power of Utah’s patriots lies in organizing and utilizing them – Voting Precinct by Voting Precinct. The Utah Minutemen are the patriots who will volunteer to do that. Look in the mirror, you may see a future Utah Minuteman staring back at you.

Understanding Voting precincts:

There are currently just over 8,000 Voting Precincts in Utah. By state guidelines, they are supposed to contain between 800 to 1250 eligible voters per Voting Precinct, but the goal is to have about 1,000 per precinct. However, the shape and number of eligible voters in those Voting Precincts is complicated further by state boundary guidelines. Each Voting Precinct is supposed to be undivided by Congressional Districts, County Boundaries, School Districts, and City Boundaries. Those guidelines, along with practical size limits in sparsely populated areas, means sometimes some Voting Precincts can contain as few as 4 eligible voters! Odds are however, that your’s contains about 1,000 eligible voters. The number and shape of Voting Precincts can potentially change each year with abrupt population shifts, but for the most part major changes only happen two years after the Federal Census (taken every ten years). You may have experienced a major change in the shape, and even your precinct identification number this year. The boundaries of Voting Precincts are actually set by Utah’s individual Counties, but all follow the state guidelines.

So the state has already divided Utah’s eligible voters into conveniently bite sized precincts for us, and now it is our job as Utah’s patriots to take full advantage of that gift by volunteering as a Utah Minuteman to find the other patriots in your Voting Precinct. You probably already know a few of them as neighbors, and as you identify and enlist more and more patriots, organizing to canvas your district becomes easier. You don’t even have to start with canvassing your entire Voting Precinct. You can start with homes that fly Old Glory, or lists of individuals registered with the Republican, Constitution, Independent American, or Libertarian Parties. The Utah Minutemen will be a nonpartisan group of patriots dedicated to restoring the Constitution of the United States so it functions as originally intended. Our motto will be “Teach the People Correct Principles, and Let Them Govern Themselves”. We will not endorse particular candidates, but unify ourselves with understanding and appreciation of the founding principles of our nation, that we might vote and act as one, under God, in defense of liberty and justice for all.

We will use materials and sources readily available in print, online, radio and TV. We will organize to positively affect civil government from the Voting Precinct on through the City, County, State and National levels. The agenda will be set from the ground up. Individual Precincts will elect a sergeant and sargeants will elect captains at county or legislative district levels – whichever is smaller. At the state level we will ask Patriots who already have experience leading independent political organizations in Utah to guide us as a quorum of Generals as we get started.

There is so much potential political power and possibilities with a patriotic movement that organizes itself Voting Precinct by Voting Precinct in Utah that you can get dizzy imagining it.

Right now it is just an idea with the name-Utah Minutemen. I have secured “Utah Minutemen” as an undeveloped Facebook page and “UtahMinutemen.org” as a WWW Domain, I plan on starting this, but as soon as a quorum of Generals is established I will relinquish control of the name to them and all the Utah Minutemen whom I foresee volunteering to save our Constitution as it hangs by a thread in the latter days.
